Synthetic Wigs are readily available in many various trendy styles and colours & maintain their shape, volume & texture due to the fibre used for making them.
They are by far the cheapest and need minimum maintenance overall.
The majority of the styles are 'shake & wear'.
Nowadays, the quality of these wigs is so real - its hard to tell the difference between them and human hair.
However the use of heated rollers, curling/straightening irons and hair dryers on these wigs is
certainly not recommended as they can be permanently damaged.
Human Hair Wigs on the other hand require a little more care than synthetic.
They should be treated like your own hair; - washed, dried, styled and conditioned.
They can loose their style if they get wet - as with your own hair - and on humid days they could frizz also.
However they are more durable and more versatile than synthetic wigs and hence a little more expensive. |

Our Wigs fit an average sized head from 21.5" - 22.5".
All wigs when worn should be on the natural hairline at the front and
pulled down reaching the natural hair line at the nape of the neck.
All our Wigs have Elastic/Velcro tabs so they can be adjusted on your head for a
comfortable and snug fit. They are shaped to fit close to your face to avoid that
'wiggy' look. |

This is essential and you must choose the right products to wash and set your hairpiece.

| WASHING YOUR SYNTHETIC WIG |
|
|
Before you wash your wig - gently brush/comb out the tangles and hair spray thoroughly. For curly hair - do not use a brush - use a wide toothed comb or finger pick it gently.
Fill a sink or basin with tepid water - NEVER use hot water as this will remove any patterned curl within the hairpiece.
Add the wig shampoo and mix. Then immerse the whole wig into this solution and GENTLY swirl it (NEVER RUB) then leave it to soak for 5 - 10 minutes.
Rinse the wig in clean cool water - sometimes you may want to rinse it twice - until all the wig shampoo is removed. Shake out excess water. |

| WASHING YOUR HUMAN HAIR WIG |
|
|
Gently brush/comb out the tangles and hair spray thoroughly or finger pick gently for curly hair.
Fill a sink/basin with warm water and soak your hairpiece in a mixture of wig shampoo/conditioner. Squeeze the shampoo/conditioner through the hair from top to bottom and rinse well with warm water. Gently blot the wig with a towel.
Gently comb the wet hair from bottom to top with downward strokes. Never start from the top or the middle. Always do a section at a time.
Lift wig and give it a gentle shake and allow your wig to air dry naturally on a wig stand. ( The wig stands can be found in our Accessories section).
To re-style your human hair wig/hairpiece - you may use a hairdryer (at the lowest setting) or steam rollers/curling irons (again at the lowest setting)
Special products should also be used on human hair wigs because this hair has been processed several times and can be vulnerable to damage. We recommend strongly that you use products made especially for human hair wigs.

| DRYING YOUR WIG |
|
|
Lay your synthetic wig onto a towel and gently pat out excess water.
DO NOT twist or brush your wig whilst wet. Lift wig and give it a gentle shake.
Do not use a hair dryer on synthetic wigs as this kind of heat can damage the fibre.
Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand in its natural head shape.
(A wire stand or plastic stand is recommended as air cannot flow through a polystyrene head block.)
For a healthy shine - use spray wig conditioner.
Brush/comb only when completely dry. |

| CONDITIONING YOUR WIG |
|
|
We recommend that you apply the appropriate spray conditioner
very lightly to your wig each time you have worn it - this will stop the fibre
drying out and looking dull thus prolonging the life span of your hairpiece.

| WIG CARE DO'S AND DON'TS |
|
To maintain your wig's natural look..
DO spray your wig or hairpiece with a suitable wig conditioner between washings to add body and shine.
DO use suitable wig products to keep your wig or hairpiece looking it's best at all times.
DO keep your wig on a wig stand to maintain its shape.
DO wash your wig/hairpiece after wearing it approx 10 times.
DON'T use regular shampoo, conditioner, baby products or delicate fabric wash on your wig or hairpiece.
DON'T use a hot curling iron/straightners or hair dryer on your synthetic wig or hairpiece.
DON'T brush or wring out your wet wig or hairpiece.
DON'T wear a wig or hairpiece near any excessive heat such as an open oven, boiling water, barbecue grill or an open flame. |

| ARRIVAL OF YOUR NEW WIG |
|
|
When you take your new wig out of its box - it will not look exactly like the style you pictured on the website or in the catalogue -- it has been specially packed to hold it's preset style.
Remove the hairnet and any tissue paper enclosed.
Put your hands inside the wig at the crown and nape, and give it a good shake. This actually wakes up the wig fibres.
For best results place your wig on a wig stand overnight. This allows your wig to breathe and loosen itself into the preset style much better |

| PREPARING TO WEAR YOUR NEW WIG |
|
|
No matter what your hair length, we always recommend a wig cap liner to be used.
This liner holds all loose hair securely in place under your wig. The wig cap liner is also useful
if you have little or no hair.
It will make your wig feel more snug & secure. (The wig cap liner can be found in our Accessories section
For Short hair - Brush your hair back from the front and up on the sides - then lightly spray with hair spray. Cover with a wig liner.
For Longer hair - Pin up your hair away from the front, side, and the nape of your neck in large curls set evenly all over your head, so that your wig will lay flat. Spray with hairspray. Cover with a wig liner.
Loosen the Velcro straps or hooks in the back of the wig. These can always be adjusted to fit later. Hold the wig from firmly from the back and from the front hairline.
Tilt your head forward and slip on the wig from front to the back.
Adjust the wig until the front is level with your own hairline.
Then use the ear tabs to adjust properly from side to side. The Velcro straps or hooks at the
back can now be secured for a firmer fit or left loose and tucked in. |

| STYLING TIPS |
|
|
Go on, be daring and experiment with your style to get the look that's just right for you. Many of our styles just need a good shake and they're absolutely ready to wear.
For our wavier & curlier styles, we recommend you always use a good wide toothed comb, a good wig brush or even your fingers. The wig fibres will stretch and loosen if a regular brush or comb is used.
Once you have your desired look - hold it in place using a good wig styling spray. Never use regular hair spray, styling gels and mousse as they will leave a film over the fibre that attracts dust & dirt.
To return the wig to its original style again just follow the steps for washing and allow it to thoroughly dry.
As with anything new - it can take a little time to get accustomed to your new style. Take a few days to get used to seeing the "new you "- then relax and enjoy!!! |
